Comments: I graduated from UC Davis 1969, received my teaching credential the following year. Met my husband Tony while at Davis, we married in 1970, had our daughter Adrienne 1971, our son, Anthony, 1973. Tony and I lived in Downey until 2001, when we moved to Irvine. Our children, their spouses, and our 2 grandchildren decided to move, so we followed!! For over 35 years, Tony has owned and operated 3 Italian restaurants in the L.A. area called Frantones, www.frantones.com. He commutes daily, but I’m hoping he’ll retire soon.
While raising the children, I taught school, and then, as they left to
go to college, I went to law school. I had my own family law practice.
I was elected to the Downey School Board in 1987, serving as president
3 times. I was very involved in the community, my proudest accomplishment
was as a founder and charter member of a "Prevention of Child Abuse"
center which is still open and thriving today. When we decided to move,
I closed the practice and resigned from the school board.
I enjoy my retirement. I spend lots of time with the children and grandchildren,
volunteering in the grandchildren’s classrooms. Tony and I are going
to Italy in September, first time there. I often see many of the old friends
from Ventura High School, and enjoy emailing others.
