Location: Phoenix, AZ Comments: Following graduation from Humboldt State College with another of our VHS 1965 classmates, I settled into the water treatment field. Started with the really good stuff, Arrowhead-Puritas Drinking Water! Then I progressed to the other end of the field, began work with the City of Ventura at the Marina Wastewater Treatment Plant. I have been in this field for 33 years, moving to Santa Barbara and Phoenix. For 7 years I was an instructor at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station west of Phoenix, teaching 60 adult operators water and wastewater softening. Was married a Santa Barbara lady for almost 20 years, until my 2 children lost their mother. Have been married to a lady from Kansas for 4 years, and enjoy travelling to Kansas City often to see my other 2 children. Have been with the City of Glendale, AZ, for over 15 years and am about to retire from this employer. Currently, I enjoy teaching adult Sunday School, riding my bike to work and on long benefit bike rides, participating in timed car rallies, riding on steam trains, and dancing with my wife. Senior Track has been a part of my life and am planning to resume at retirement. |
